About Vetofast
Built by a veterinarian, kept honest by pet owners.
Vetofast Petcare Directory is a free, volunteer-run community service. It has no advertising, no paid listings and no company behind it.
Dr Md Nurul Islam, DVM, MVM
Founder · PhD candidate, University of Wisconsin–Madison
Nurul is a Bangladeshi veterinarian and disease ecologist. He trained at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (DVM, 2014) and Massey University, New Zealand (MVM, 2016), and is completing a PhD at the University of Wisconsin–Madison on how animal movement shapes disease risk.
For a decade he worked on the front line of animal and public health in Bangladesh: as a One Health epidemiology fellow with Massey University, as veterinary consultant at the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), and as technical advisor for the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network, where he helped build the country's first field epidemiology training programme for veterinarians. He has investigated outbreaks of Nipah virus, anthrax and leptospirosis, taught outbreak investigation at CVASU, and co-authored peer-reviewed research on animal health in Bangladesh.
He is a member of the Bangladesh Veterinary Council and the Bangladesh Veterinary Association, the Wildlife Disease Association, and the IUCN Bat Specialist Group.
“In Bangladesh we check a doctor's degrees before we book. Pet owners deserve the same, and so do the vets who earned theirs. Vetofast exists to make that checking easy and honest.”
What Vetofast will never do
- Rank clinics or rate the quality of care.
- Sell placement, badges or "featured" listings.
- Show a "verified" or "proven" label without a reviewer having seen the evidence.
- Publish a vet's documents, personal phone or home address.
How it stays honest
- Every listing shows which checks have been done and which have not.
- Every claim is tied to a public source you can open.
- Anyone can report an error. Corrections are reviewed and logged.
