Listing and removal policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

This page explains what Vetofast publishes about clinics and vets, how it gets it right, and how to correct or remove a listing. Questions: write to hello@vetofast.com.

Who is listed

  • Veterinary clinics and hospitals that serve pets, including government and teaching hospitals.
  • Veterinarians who own a clinic, practise at a clinic, or visit homes for pets.

Any BVC-registered vet may also have a Vetofast account to answer questions and write guides, but only vets linked to a clinic or doing home visits appear in the directory.

Government facilities and teaching hospitals

These are listed for information only. They are not Vetofast's partners, and we have no interest in them. To reach them, contact the government office or the institution itself.

What a listing shows

Public professional information only: the clinic name, address, public phone and e-mail, opening hours, animals treated, services, and a map position. For a vet: name, degrees, the clinics where they work, and a professional phone only if the vet agreed.

An "At this clinic" box lists plain yes or no facts, such as surgery or X-ray. The clinic states these. We have not checked them unless the page says so, and an item with no answer reads "not stated", never "no".

Missing or old information does not mean a clinic has no vet, service or facility. It may just not have been told to us yet. Please call the clinic to ask.

What we never publish

  • Home addresses or personal phone numbers.
  • Patient or owner information.
  • Ratings, rankings, stars or reviews. Vetofast has none.
  • Private documents. Anything you upload to prove a claim stays private.

Where the facts come from

Public sources, clinics and vets themselves, and the community. Every new clinic and every change is read by a reviewer before it appears. We may use Google Places only as a short-term aid to find clinics; we keep only its place ID.

How to read our labels

What you seeWhat it means
BVC registration checked, with a date and a green markWe matched this vet's name and number with the Bangladesh Veterinary Council record. Nothing more.
Stated by the clinic or stated by the vetThey told us. We have not checked it.
Document seen on [date]A reviewer saw a document supporting the statement.
Listing not yet claimedNobody from the clinic has taken charge of this page yet.
Nothing shownWe do not know, or it was not stated.

The green mark is used for nothing else. We never describe any clinic or vet in words that rank or praise them. A listing is a directory entry. It is not a certification, endorsement, recommendation or judgement, and we do not say who is good or bad. We advise you to choose a BVC-registered veterinarian.

Fix a mistake

Anyone can send a correction from the clinic's page. You do not need an account, but we ask for an e-mail address so we can confirm it is a real person. A reviewer reads it, and the clinic may be asked to agree. We decide within 14 days.

Take charge of a page

Clinic owners and vets can claim their page. We confirm it with a one-time code sent to the e-mail already listed for the clinic, a call-back, or a document. After that you can update your own details, add what is stated about your clinic, and keep it current.

Ask for removal

A clinic owner, a vet or a person named on a page may ask us to remove or change a listing.

  1. Write to hello@vetofast.com, or use the report form on the page. Tell us which page.
  2. Tell us who you are. We may ask you to prove it, for example through the clinic's listed e-mail, so nobody can remove someone else's listing.
  3. We act within 7 days of confirming it is you.

Once a listing is removed or hidden, its page answers with the "page not found" message, and it drops out of search at the next site update. Personal details we hold about you can be deleted as the privacy policy explains. We keep a private record that a removal happened, so the listing is not added again without your agreement.

A request to remove a vet's BVC check is treated the same way. The check is a record of a fact, so if the registration number was wrong we correct it, and if you simply want the profile gone, we remove the profile.

If we disagree

If we cannot agree, for example because a listing is accurate and public, we explain why in writing. You may reply, and a second volunteer looks at it. We take down anything that is false, unsafe, or about a private person.

Reporting a problem

Tell us if a listing looks wrong, a vet is claimed falsely, or a page copies someone's private details. We look at every report.
