About the government vet hospital pages
How we make these pages, and what to check before you go.
Where the information comes from
Each government veterinary office has its own public website on the Department of Livestock Services network. We read the office's name, address and public phone number from that website. We last read them in November 2026.
We do not show the names or personal numbers of officers.
Office hours
The hours on these pages are the usual government office hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm. The offices do not publish their own hours, so this is our assumption.
Government offices are usually closed on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays, and hours can be shorter during Ramadan.
Please call before you travel
Staff change from time to time. Call the office to check that a veterinarian is available, and ask about medicines and any fees.
In an emergency outside office hours, each page lists private clinics nearby.
